Kegworth Whitehouse Hotel

The Kegworth is owned by Whitehouse hotels, a small hotel chain with hotels in the east midlands, Telford and Worcester, all of which have leisure clubs, conferencing facilities and banqueting facilities.

Location

The hotel is located in the village of Kegworth, across the M1 from the airport site. As with many of the hotels near East Midlands, the best way to get to the airport is to drive. This hotel has 79 en-suite rooms and facilities for up to 300 delegates.

Rooms

The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, with great beds and power showers, as well as Sky TV. Junior suites are slightly larger and come with a coffee table, balcony and free toiletries. They also have a number of accessible rooms.

It is quite easy to cram extra people into rooms at the Kegworth without forking out: cots are free; children under 12 stay free of charge when using existing bedding; children aged 12 to 15 are charged £5 a night for extra beds; older children and adults are charged £10 a night per person for extra beds.

Check-in is from 2pm; check-out is noon. Breakfast is served from 7 until 9.30am weekdays, and from 8 until 11am at the weekend. A continental breakfast can be taken in-room from 2am, though charges may apply.

Facilities

There are six conference rooms, for anything from two to 300 people, be it for weddings, corporate entertaining, dinner dances or any other occasion.

The restaurant, Sullivan’s Brasserie, serves a locally-sourced, seasonal menu, and 24-hour room service is available.

There is a comprehensive leisure complex, featuring an indoor heated swimming pool, a fully-equipped gym, a whirlpool spa, a tanning suite and a sauna, which guests can use for free.

Wifi is available but charged.
