Most of us take a car to the airport, so it’s good to know there is ample room for parking at East Midlands, no matter how long you’re going for. For an airport of its size, there are loads of car parking services available at East Midlands.
Most convenient of all is the VIP Meet and Greet service. Simply drop your car off at the terminal door and airport staff will make sure it’s there for your return. You also get five Express Lane tickets to speed through security. Naturally such a service is quite expensive, around £70.
Car parks 1 to 4 are next to the terminal, so you can simply walk. Up to 2 days in car parks 1 to 3 is £24.00; every 24 hours thereafter is a further £6.50. The respective prices for car park 4 are £26.00 and £7.50. Parks 1 to 3 can be booked in advance for lower rates.
Car parks 6 and 7 are slightly further away (six and eight minutes by car respectively), but a shuttle bus connects them to the terminal. It runs every 10 minutes. Up to one hour in car park 6 is free, up to 2 hours is £6, up to 2 days is £22.00 and every 24 hours thereafter is a further £6.00. In car park 7, up to two days is £21 and every 24 hours subsequently is £5.20.
There are a number of short-stay options. The rapid drop off zone, the closest to the terminal, offers 10 minutes for £1, and the short stay car park offers 30 minutes for £2. Alternatively, an hour’s parking in car park 6 and shuttle transfer to the terminal is free.
All car parks have CCTV, and car park 7 has security fencing too. To book parking, follow this link.
Disabled parking space can found in the short stay car park. They are 100 to 150 metres from the terminal. Alternatively, park in the long stay car parks and take the fully accessible coach service, free of charge, to the terminal building. For wheelchair assistance or help with your luggage, contact airport staff using one of the help points located in the car parks. Wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge.
